Happy New Year

“Hope. Smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering 'it will be happier'...” ~ Alfred Tennyson

2018! A week passes by so fast, before we realize, 2019 will be here soon. Sometimes I want to embrace time more. Spend it more wisely like I do now, but we all know that things happen, you do things you want to do and don't want to do. We all hope for the perfect life, but at the same time we all admit that nothing like that exists. We can only come close enough to something that is called happiness. For we eat to survive, we work to live in luxury and sleep to dream. Our life is controlled by society. and it's hard to escape the role of a good citizen. We all want to wander, we all want create but most of all I believe we all want to escape reality. For why would we live to just get up, work and go to bed just to be doing the same thing tomorrow again. I regret I spend so much time of my life saving for the future, guarantying my future, forgetting how to actually spend my time now. Is time now not that precious? Because I admit, I'm afraid I wont have anything when I grow old, nothing to rely on. 2018, may you be a year with lots of wonder, and may we dare take risks even though the outcome might be unlike we wanted.

Your deeply thoughtful reflections on time and on life are so true! It's scary how time seems to pass by even more quickly as we get older. I love the "Stay Wild" motto in the third photo and the quote from Alfred Tennyson at the top of the post.
Best wishes for your year 2018!
